Stockholm, Sweden - February 3, 2010 - DICE, an Electronic Arts Inc. studio (NASDAQ: ERTS), today announced that the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system players in North America will now have access to the Battlefield: Bad CompanyTM 2 demo* on February 4. Available via the PlayStation®Network, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has been recognized by critics worldwide for its incredibly detailed, huge sandbox environments, vehicular warfare, destruction, and squad play. Its dedicated servers that allow for smooth, seamless online play help it stand above the competition.

 

EA also announced today that first-person shooter fans playing on Xbox LIVETM are so enjoying the refined gameplay in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 that they have propelled the demo to over 1 million downloads in just 3 days. The Xbox LIVE demo is on pace to become the fastest downloaded title in EA´s history. The recently launched PC beta has also been met with great success, with hundreds of thousands of players already signed up. With the huge popularity of the Xbox LIVE demo, PC beta and soon-to-be released PlayStation 3 demo, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 looks to continue its dominance as the premier first person-shooter of 2010 when it releases on March 2nd.
